ATTRACTIONS & Places of interest

Visit the beautiful county of Bedfordshire which abounds in a host of varied attractions and places of interest from Abbeys and Castles to Wildlife Parks and, Zoos, to name a few.

This guide is intended to give you an overview in to what is available in the county and afar, to help make your visit a memorable one.  Bedford is also famous for its connection with the seventeenth century author of Pilgrim’s Progress, John Bunyan. The town’s location on the Ouse clothes it with picturesque riverside gardens and walks.

Of course, no visitor to this county should miss the Duke of Bedford’s palatial mansion Woburn, packed with art treasures and set in its deer park or Woburn Wild Animal Kingdom, Europe’s biggest drive-through safari park.

Just outside Bedford we have a Butterfly Park, Galleries & Theatres, Windmill, Zoo, Working Mill, Country parks, Stately Homes and Gardens.
Bedfordshire is packed with attractions, whatever your interests…
